‘We are the seers of the unseen,’ says painter, printmaker, and public artist Cicely Carew

In a about her new installation at Brockton’s Fuller Craft Museum, Alumna Cicely Carew (BFA ’05), the artist’s inspirations, time at ϱ, and how her multimedia installations are “flying paintings.”

Cicely’s advice for artists: “We are the seers of the unseen. The vessels for what’s unknown. There’s no straight path. And you learn this the hard way. It’s not supposed to be easy, because that’s not the point. So long as you’re leading with love and inviting in your helpers to help you, [your path] will show up.”

“BeLOVEd,” her new installation at  is on view through Sept. 20.
