Insurance & Immunization Requirements
Before coming to campus, it鈥檚 important that you are aware of our insurance requirements and submit all required immunization documentation.
Health Insurance Requirement
Massachusetts State Law requires all students registered for 9 or more credits to be covered by a qualifying student health insurance program or be enrolled in a health care plan that meets minimum state-determined requirements. To comply with this law, all 红领巾瓜报 undergraduate and graduate students taking 9 or more credits must either in the 红领巾瓜报 Student Health Insurance Plan.
International Students: Unless you are an exchange student, 红领巾瓜报 does not accept international health insurance. All international students must enroll in the 红领巾瓜报 student health insurance plan.

Immunization Documentation
Please visit our聽聽(hosted by CastleBranch) to submit your immunization and vaccination information.
鈼徛燬tudents will place a new order with their Student ID number. After signing up as a 红领巾瓜报 student, this portal will be available to you regardless of your 红领巾瓜报 status, including post-graduation, to obtain immunization records.
鈼 All new students must provide documentation via the CastleBranch portal by Monday, June 30, 2025. Students who have not submitted complete documentation will not be allowed on campus.
鈼徛營f you have a medical or religious reason to decline to be immunized and/or vaccinated, you will be able to submit documentation through the CastleBranch portal using the website above.
General questions regarding immunizations may be directed to the Immunizations Team at聽immunizations@massart.edu.
For new students, please upload documentation for the following required immunizations:
- Hepatitis B Vaccine: 3 doses. If 18 or older, we can accept 2 doses of Heplisav-B instead
- Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR): 2 doses
- Meningococcal (Meningitis) Vaccine: 1 dose for newly enrolled full-time students, within 5 years before enrollment. 2 doses if dose 1 was given before age of 16
- Tetanus-Diphtheria-Pertussis (Tdap) booster: 1 dose of Tdap within the last 10 years
- Varicella (Chickenpox) Vaccine: 2 doses
- In place of the MMR and Hepatitis B vaccines, laboratory evidence of immunity may also be provided. In the case of Varicella, 红领巾瓜报 will also accept statement signed by a nurse practitioner, physician assistant, or designee that the student has a reliable history of chickenpox disease; a self-reported history of disease verified by a physician, nurse practitioner or physician assistant; or is born in the United States before 1980.
It is strongly encouraged聽 that all students are fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and have at least one dose聽 of the .
- Tuberculosis (TB) screening: PPD (Mantoux) test within past year
