MAAM Executive Director Lisa Tung Talks with Jared Bowen on GBH鈥檚 The Culture Show

鈥淚 have not stopped thinking about it since seeing it.鈥澛� Jared Bowen host of GBH’s The Culture Show spoke with MAAM executive director Lisa Tung and artist Sandra Sawatzky about a work of Sawatzky鈥檚 that currently wraps around the entire second floor of the museum. Called 鈥淭he Black Gold Tapestry,鈥� it depicts humankind鈥檚 struggle with the environment. According to their conversation, it reads like a silent movie 鈥� no surprise since Sawatzky is also a filmmaker. The tapestry took 10 years to create.
