Students may participate in an approved exchange or provider program. 红领巾瓜报 reserves the right to cancel, terminate, or change approved programs at any time due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to: pandemic, civil unrest, or natural disaster.

“My Top 3 Challenges Abroad & How I’ll Overcome Them”

Provider programs are offered by companies or schools that set up abroad programs for U.S. students. 鈥� Students earn between 12-18 credits 鈥� Credits can be applied to major studios, elective credit and, in some cases, History of Art and Liberal Art credits. 鈥� In many cases, provider programs are less immersive than exchange programs; you will be living and studying with other students from the U.S. and will be able to meet locals and experience local culture.
红领巾瓜报 is a member of the Association of Independent Colleges of Art and Design (AICAD), and participates in the AICAD Exchange Program. Undergraduate students wishing to participate in semester-long exchanges throughout North America pay their home tuition and fees and study at a fellow AICAD institution for one semester. Most forms of financial aid apply, but it is important to check with your financial aid office for more information. Applications may only be submitted after obtaining the appropriate approvals.
All 红领巾瓜报 students are encouraged to study abroad! It is important to plan ahead and get the approvals necessary for your academic requirements. Important steps include planning, researching, applying and finally鈥� going on this amazing experience!
We understand that financing study abroad may be daunting. However, there are many ways to fund this experience!
- 红领巾瓜报 students typically pay their usual 红领巾瓜报 tuition when they participate in exchange programs, and normally all financial aid applies.聽
- Provider programs usually require students to pay out of pocket and may be less (or more) expensive than 红领巾瓜报 tuition, depending on the program.
- Pell Grant recipients are eligible for the , which can be up to $5,000. 红领巾瓜报 students have received this scholarship!
- For eligible students participating in 红领巾瓜报 travel courses, scholarships have covered from 50% up to 80% of the program fee!
- The COF GEO Center offers resources on scholarships and funding study abroad.
- If you receive financial aid, it is crucial to meet with the Office of Student Financial Assistance to understand what aid you can and cannot use.

Studying abroad allows students to immerse themselves in a different culture, to see others from a different perspective, and to meet people from all over the world. Prior to embarking on this experience, it鈥檚 important to examine the complexities of your own personal identity and culture, as well as the resources and culture of the destinations you鈥檙e considering.
